“Don’t Wait Until After the Holidays: How to Stay on Track This Busy Season”

Every year, I hear it: “I’ll wait until after the holidays.”

Over the last two weeks, I’ve had consults with so many women who were excited to finally do something for themselves… but still felt pulled to hit pause until the holiday chaos was over.

I get it.

When the week ahead is packed with family gatherings, travel, and that one pie you always look forward to, skipping your workouts (or even thinking about them) feels easier than getting started. And honestly? You’re not alone. Even our current Shred 27 members see their motivation dip right before Thanksgiving.

Here’s the truth: one holiday meal won’t derail your progress.

What quietly stalls momentum is the “why bother” mindset that creeps in the days leading up to it. That’s when your progress starts to feel like it’s slipping, and by the time the holidays are over, it feels like you’re starting from square one.

And let me be clear. I’m not here to tell you to skip the fun. I love fitness, but I love my family more. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s balance. It’s making choices that help you feel strong while showing up fully for the moments that matter.

So this week, instead of waiting until it’s “all over,” try this: do one small thing that keeps you moving forward.

It doesn’t have to be perfect or intense. It just has to exist. Your future self (the one who wants more energy, a flatter belly, toned arms, and renewed confidence) will thank you for not throwing the whole week away.

Here are a few practical ways to stay on track, even when life gets hectic:

  1. Mini Workouts at Home – Even 10–15 minutes counts. A quick circuit of squats, push-ups, and planks can keep your muscles active and metabolism humming.
  2. Holiday Survival Guide – Plan your meals, enjoy treats intentionally, and make small swaps where it makes sense. It’s about moderation, not deprivation.
  3. Move Between Events – Walk while the turkey cooks, stretch while the kids play, or do a set of lunges before heading out the door. These micro-moves add up.
  4. Schedule a Shred 27 Session – If you’re in Rocklin, CA, swing by the gym for a quick session. Even a 27-minute HIIT class keeps your momentum alive.

Remember, progress doesn’t require perfection. It’s built through consistent, small wins that add up over time. One workout, one mindful meal, one choice to move. That’s all it takes to keep moving forward.

When you’re ready for real momentum and lasting change, we’ll be here, cheering you on every step of the way. Until then, don’t wait. Start small. Stay consistent. Celebrate the wins, however tiny.

You’ve got this.
