It’s no exaggeration when I say this 7-minute video changed my life.
Now, before you roll your eyes and think, “Yeah right, here comes the infomercial…” hear me out.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve got tight hips or low back issues that show up at the worst possible times. For me, it’s been my whole adult life. I’d be cruising through workouts, feeling strong, and then something as simple as bending over would tweak my back. Boom. Sidelined for days (sometimes weeks).
The funny part? I just assumed it was genetic.
Growing up, my dad spent a lot of time laying on the couch with a bad back. As a kid, I thought that’s just what happens when you get older. You get sore, stiff, and stuck on the couch.
But here’s the truth I wish I knew sooner: most of my “back problems” weren’t actually back problems at all. They were hip problems. Tight, neglected hips that were pulling everything else out of alignment.
Blaming the Wrong Body Part
Think about it: how often do we blame the wrong body part?
Your knees hurt, but the real issue is tight quads.
Your shoulders ache, but the culprit is poor posture.
Your back flares up… when really, your hips are screaming for attention.
That was me for decades. And the thing is, I was never a “mobility guy.” I’d rather train, lift, sweat (and let’s be honest, eat). Stretching always got pushed to the bottom of the list.
Until I stumbled across a short, 7-minute video. Just a handful of hip stretches, done five minutes at night on the floor before bed.
Immediate Results
From the very first session, I noticed a difference.
- Walking up the stairs felt easier.
- I woke up the next day without the usual stiffness.
- And after stringing a few days together? My back pain disappeared.
Not “a little better.” Not “somewhat improved.” I mean gone.
Of course, when I get lazy and skip a few nights, the tightness creeps right back in. It’s directly correlated. Which is exactly why I’m writing this for you.
Why This Matters for Women’s Fitness
If you’re a woman over 40 (or really, any age) struggling with back pain, hip mobility might be the missing piece. Most of us spend too much time sitting, whether it’s at a desk, in the car, or on the couch after a long day. Those hips get tight, and the back ends up paying the price.
The solution doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s not another workout, it’s the right five minutes of mobility before bed.
Try It Yourself
If you’ve got tight hips, if getting on and off the floor feels harder than it should, or if you’ve battled nagging back issues, give this a try.
Test it for a few nights in a row. Pay attention to how your body responds. It might just change everything for you the way it did for me.
