Summer is right around the corner, and with it, the usual push to get stronger, leaner, and healthier. But if you’re like most women, juggling work, family, and everything else on your plate, the idea of fitting a workout plan into your life might feel overwhelming. That’s why I want to share the stories of two women from our gym who nailed it during our 2025 Shred Summer Slim Down challenge. All without giving up their real lives.
Meet Marnel: The Queen of Momentum and Muscle

In just four weeks, Marnel dropped 6.4 pounds, maintained every bit of her hard-earned muscle, and trimmed 2.8% body fat. She took home $250 and built serious momentum for summer. Sounds impressive, right? But here’s what really stands out:
She did all this while balancing work, family, and weekend sports with her kids.
When asked what made the difference, she said, “27 minutes is the perfect amount of time. I can work hard and get it done quickly. The timing of the classes is also great; I can go before or after work, and there are Saturday classes if I miss a weekday.”
No gimmicks. No all-or-nothing rules. Just a solid, simple routine that fits real life.
That’s the kind of plan that works for busy women in Rocklin. Quick, effective workouts that slot in around your day, not the other way around.
Meet Crystal: The Strength-Builder Who Keeps It Simple

Crystal finished second in the challenge, dropping 5 pounds and 2.3% body fat while keeping all her muscle intact. But here’s the kicker:
She made huge strength gains in her main lifts.
Crystal’s game plan was straightforward: lift heavy twice a week in Small Group Personal Training, plus our 27-minute Shred classes for conditioning. No crazy schedules, no cutting carbs, no guessing.
Just smart training that fits her lifestyle. And it works. Big time.
If you’ve been stuck spinning your wheels doing endless cardio or random workouts and wondering why the scale or the mirror won’t budge, Crystal’s story is a good reminder: strength changes everything.
Why These Stories Matter
Both Marnel and Crystal prove what’s possible with the right approach. Their wins aren’t about quick fixes or extreme diets. It’s about showing up, using tools that respect your time, and focusing on what really moves the needle: strength, smart nutrition, and consistency.
If you live in the Rocklin area and find yourself wanting something that fits your life, not the other way around, this kind of approach could be worth exploring.
What’s Next?
Maybe this summer is the right time to try something that finally clicks with your schedule and goals. No pressure. Just a reminder that strong, smart, and simple works.
